Working for a well known and loved NZ brand in the ecommerce and skincare space, this role is a good one!
Why? Well.. firstly you will be working on a variety of projects which all support the development and delivery of a best-practice platform that enables the business to build high quality and accurate reporting – aka improve business performance.
A huge part of the role is to build new and modify existing ETL jobs, support the business with database changes.
You will work closely with both the internal and external business stakeholders to ensure that best database management practices are met!
No 2 weeks will be the same in this role and during this time you will have the opportunity to work on real projects to widen your experience base!
Essential Experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
- 2 – 3 years’ experience working with data
- High level experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Experience working with a Data Integration tool like Pentaho Data Integrator, SAS or Data Factory as examples.
- Deep level of understanding of RDBMS concepts and technologies
- Great numerical and analytical skills with the ability to work with business complexity.
Ideally you will also have (but not essential)
- An understanding of Microsofts BI stack Excel and Power BI.
- A solid understanding of the Microsoft 365 tools – Office, SharePoint, Teams
- Experience using Python
- Cloud Experience either AWS or Azure
- Experience with Confluence or Jira
Key Responsibilities
Data modelling
- Analysing business information needs to gather and document requirements
- Design and develop star schemas in line with Kimball dimensional modelling guidelines
- Maintain an accurate data dictionary
Integration and ETL
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to populate our data warehouse from multiple systems
- Optimise query performance to reduce time and cost
- Manage data integration between multiple systems including the use of APIs
- Support point-of-sale data migration project
- Design data architecture continuously manage configuration
Reporting
- Provide backup for reporting continuity
- Ad-hoc reporting requests

Salary range 90-100k.
